Kevin Smith's Cop Out!

The trailer for Kevin Smith's latest, which once had the vastly superior title A COUPLE OF DICKS. I've never seen a black cop and a white cop paired up in a movie before. Wholly unremarkable. Like an R rated version of all those buddy cop movies from the 80's. Wait, weren't most of those R rated already? I guess they needed dick jokes to really fulfill their potential.

The only Kevin Smith Movie i like is "Dogma". that one still kills me. I will probably skip this one unless they change name back to "A coulple of dicks"...that did not come out right.

Kevin Smith is the poster boy for "the mandatory retirement of directors" legislation.

Chasing Amy was a brilliant film. One of my favorites. He should have stopped there.

Peter

P.S. If the legislation does pass, I would add M. Night Shyamalan to the list.

I checkout almost all the new comedies that come out. Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan..I'll watch it!

Great, now I have to scrap my treatment for "Black Cop, White Cop: The Movie". Thanks a lot Kevin Smith.

I'll see it on DVD. Or maybe in theaters if I'm desperate for something to do.

Typically they'll put the best jokes in the trailer. I guess they decided to go another direction for this trailer.

Just a few ramblings on Kevin Smith and maybe Cop Out :)

I love Kevin Smith as a person, I don't personally know him, but his interviews, subject matter and opinions are something that really makes me wish I did. I think he's an awesome dude.
I loved Dogma. I haven't watched it recently so I don't know if it'll still hold up.
I've never understood why Clerks was so well recieved, thought it sucked, but he's such an awesome person, I'm glad it opened doors for him.
Tracy Morgan is funny as F--K! I would watch him put on shoes for 30 minutes, he is just one of those people that cracks me up no matter what he's doing.
Bruce Willis is a great straight guy.
I know every one is rolling thier eyes at the "black cop/white cop buddy movie" thing but that's what he's doing too, making fun of Hollywood conventions.
So I'm gonna go support it and hopefully by not having high expectations I'll have a happy ending, but not like this...

Alright...If I'm bored one night, and it happens to be on cable, and I've already masturbated, I might give it a look.
LOL

If this movie is a satire, then whoever cut the trailer should be fired. Like watching a preview for Bad Boys 3 minus the huge budget.

I loved it then and I still like it. I really think it's held up through the years. For Xmas, my wife gave me a Bluray box set with Clerks, Chasing Amy and Jay & Silent Bob's Revenge, or whatever it's called. :2vrolijk_08: Good times.

I am extremely disappointed that Kevin Pollack is not in the trailer. I don't care how minor his role in the movie might be, I WANT HIM IN THE FREAKING TRAILER. Why, you ask? "Because they're fast..."

Kevin Smith talks about directing, or rather NOT directing Bruce Willis. NSFW!!!--

He was NOT lol i was on for a day in a diner as patron

Bruce and Tracy were improving the whole entire time
Well he was commanding everything It was his set he gave direction

Willis was having too good of a time, almost not acting but being himself Bruce Willis

I've never been much a fan of Smith.

I did like Chasing Amy and he's done some fun things (Clerks) and Zack and Miri had it's moments. But he's not a marquee name for me.

Dogma was horrible.
