We have had several people say they would like to see a Pocket Dolly for heavier camera rigs. Here is a short video of Eric showing the prototype for the new Pocket Dolly HD (may be renamed by release).

This new version is completely custom machined in our shop and will support rigs over 100 pounds. We have started production and anticipate it be available by early December with a price point of around $800.

This new heavy duty version of the Pocket Dolly was not designed for use with the Pocket Jib, because of it's size. The current light weight version will still be available for use with the Pocket Jib.

Hey Chris, it's great you are coming out with a heavy duty slider! I do need something capable up to 40 / 50 lbs.

Question: will the Hercules head work with the HD slider? Or will it require a heavier duty 150mm bowl, or mitchell plate head? If you don't finish this by December, I'd like to pre-pay Kessler for YR2009 tax purposes, but I hope it is available by December.

I don't know about the HD name for it - it might confuse people thinking its for lighter "high def" cameras, meaning lighter than your regular pocket dolly.
 
Yes, the Hercules head will work with it.

Agree with you about the name, that's why I made the note that the name may change by the release date. We definitely want to make sure the name clearly describes the product.

Note, we have had a name change (if only a Mod could update the OP title for me :-) ). This heavy duty slider is called the CineSlider and is a stand alone product (not for mounting on the Pocket Jib).

Quick video update from Eric, now that we have the first production unit built. We will have info on the website for ordering, before the end of the week. Will begin shipping by Jan 4th at the latest.
