Kessler Crane @ Cine Gear Expo - Booth #38

Chris Beller

Kessler Crane
Kessler Crane will be located in Booth #38 at the Cine Gear Expo on June 5th & 6th. We'll have the recently released Pocket Dolly™, the soon to be released Pocket Jib™ as well as our standard crane, K-Pod System™ tripod, K-Flex Track System, Hercules 2.0 head and more. We have a couple other products in development, so we may be revealing some completely new, unannounced products as well.

If you're in the area, please stop by, check things out and say hello to Eric & I. The bar won't be very far from the booth, so grab a refreshment and just come hang out, if you want.

Hope to see you there!

Chris

Some more details on new items you'll be able to see in our booth at CineGear...

Pocket Jib™ demo unit is finished and ready for the show.

Pocket Dolly™ Backbone Upgrade - Increases weight capacity to 45 - 50 lbs with no flex.

Kwik Trax Rail System for use with K-Flex Track. Combines the smooth seemless ride of a flexible track system, with the stability of a rigid track system.

We've got some more stuff in the works that we'll bring, if we can get it completed in time.

Also wanted to let you know the guys from LetusDirect will be in our booth showing off all the new Letus products on our gear too.

Hope to see you there!

Wow, thats so cool you will guys will be there, we need to get a portable boom and dolly system for our next shoot in the fall! Has to be ultra compact to travel though.
We'll stop by and have a look! Cheers

Does the Backbone upgrade for heavier cameras also takes place on the new combination pocket jib/dolly dolly product?

Cheers
Thomas.

Cine Gear

Chris and Eric,

Thanks for showing me the Pocket Dolly and Pocket Jib at Cine Gear you have really nice products. I liked the crane tripod too. You guys deliver a lot of product for the money.

We were quite impressed with Kessler's entire line of jibs and dolleys. But the thing that impressed us most was Chris & Eric's enthusiasim for the product they make, there' a a great sense of pride in their work! One of the highlights at Cine Gear this year.

Tom - Thanks a lot, we really appreciate that. Like we said at the show, the CinemaPro head you guys have released is just wicked. Glad you stopped by, it was nice to finally meet you in person.

Philip - Was great to have you and Chris stop by and check out our stuff. Had a lot of fun talking with you guys. Thanks for all the positive comments, that means a lot to us.

Thanks to eveyone else that stopped by our booth at CineGear, it was a great time.

I'm actually considering a Jib for my productions. Chris, when can we have a look at the Pocket Jib? What's it about? Setup time?

The "other" pocket jibs I'm considering are the Vance Jib and the Microdolly Jib. Very expensive gear, but are very fast to setup and seem good for a often one to two man crew...

Would love to have more info on this product and availability!

Would you buy a Jib from these guys?... Absolutely! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oe7Fg7dIylc

Sincerity and dedication, The pocket jib was fantastic at the Cine Gear this year , ultra compact, when will it be available Chris, Is there a combo package with the KPOD? Cheers

Sérgio - Pocket Jib should be available in about two months. We should have good demo video available in 2-3 weeks. We are still waiting on the demo unit to arrive back from CineGear.

Here is a video with a quick overview about the Pocket Jib, if you haven't seen it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oe7Fg7dIylc

Setup should be under 5 minutes for everything, as the Jib is all one unit. Attach to tripod (100mm bowl), slide out weight bar, slide out ball relocater, mount camera, add counter balance weight, and SHOOT. It's that simple.

Jib itself is about 28 pounds, I believe, and extends to 5 feet. Our K-Pod tripod extends to just over 5 feet, so using it with the Pocket Jib could get you up about 10 feet.

The intro price we are targeting for the Pocket Jib is around $800 - $900. This all depends on the final product costs of the unit, but we want to hit that price point.

If I missed anything, just let me know.

Philip - Thanks for the help!

Chris, what kind of QR plate does the pocket dolly uses? Is it the same one that fits the Manfrotto 516 head?

We use the Giottos QR plate system, and it is not interchangeable with the Manfrotto QR. That said, the Giottos QR system can always be swapped out on the Pocket Dolly, if needed.
