Kerouac and Burroughs are "back"!

I just read an article saying that an early manuscript by these 2 genius will be released after almost 6 decades. It's about a real life event related to the death of David Kammerer by Kerouac and Burroughs's' friend Lucien Carr. Apparently they witnessed it and never told the police anything. Both ended up in prison for this, although William got bail and Jack stayed for sometime (it was when he got married to Edie Parker). The name of the book is "And the hippos were boiled in their tanks". I'll be looking for it as soon as it hits the book shops.

I am a bigger fan of Burroughs and an even bigger fan of Ginsberg. I actually think Kerouac is the least of the bunch writing-wise. But I'll probably read this when it comes out.

I'll definetly read it. There's a "On the road" movie adaptation that's being cooked for ages now. Coppola is producing it and aclaimed brazilian director Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries, Central Station, Shredded April) is directing it.
