Kernel Panic(s) after installing Final Cut Studio

So I've been using this Mac Pro for 10+ months.
10G Ram, 3 internal hard drives, OSX 10.5.8.
Been running Logic Pro and Aperture and other small apps with zero problems.

Recently, the only change to my computer is I installed Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio Upgrade.

Past 3 days I've gotten 2 kernel panics. (Report said something about FBD Memory?)
(1st one, I was using Mpeg Streamclip to transcode footage.
2nd one, I was only running Safari.)

I repaired disk permissions, used diskwarrior, did the hardware diagnostic test thing, nothing came up.

I asked Apple Genius but they just said reduce everything to 'base config' and troubleshoot from there.

I wanna ask you guys, do you know of any obvious existing conflicts between the software that might be going on? Am I missing something obvious?

It's possible you have some bad memory that other programs have not used up until now. It's hard to diagnose without a lot of trial and error testing.

One thing you can start with is to download Tech Tool Delux and run a system test on it. You can find it on Apple's web site. Enter your system serial # to download.

What Gen Mac Pro? Some machines don't work well with mixed type of RAM modules such as you may have with that 10GB total. If You have aftermarket RAM, is it the good stuff? or bargain price quality? That does make a difference, Mac's are very picky on RAM quality & compatibility. You could also try to remove a few modules, test to find out if you still get panics. Until you may find a pair that don't give you panics when removed.

thanks RyanBellaCine,

I agree about the fact that some memory may not have been used until now...
but
This morning, for example, all i did was startup and Safari. Bang, kernel panic.

The RAM is the good stuff, I didn't cheap out when I bought it.

I will checkout that download you suggested.

FWIW, my previous G5 used to give me random panics once in a while too.
