By this basic question I'm obviously pretty new to AE and would appreciate any help with this issue.
I'm using AE 7.0 and FCP5. Basically when i create a comp in AE I want to knock certain parts out, exactly how you see the news bottom info tool bars or having a logo on the bottom right of the screen on top of the video. Although when I create a composition in AE it doens't give me an option to keep it a transparent background, thus when i create a little graphic and import into FCP there's a solid color everywhere around my graphic. How do I go about knocking it out or creating it without that effect? Thanks so much in advance
