Keeping shoes quiet on set/location

I have seen a product advertised in some magazine or someplace that basically dampens your shoe-bottoms so you don't hear your footsteps on footage. Does anyone know name of these or know of a DIY alternative?

Put blankets on the floor or felt on the bottom of the shoes -- just don't slip!

Booties for sure but don't buy them from a film supply store..go to your local medial supply store..way more..way cheaper.

We use the rugs that you'd find in schools..you know those thin red runners with the rubber on the bottom. They hold well and are easy to roll up.

If you are seeing the floor, there is a shoe foam, that sticks to the bottom of the shoes, you just cut it to shape. Rip it off when you are done.

You guys are a trip! Maybe I'll rent a midget and sit on his shoulders!:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) Maybe I should have specified that this would be for weddings--so putting carpet and stuff on the floor would not be an option. I would also not want to go shoeless or wear booties, Sketchers or other shoes that would contrast with my otherwise debonnaire attire and appearance. I liked the idea of felt on shoe bottoms. Just have to find some sort of peel-off adhesive so it can be reused.
