Yes that was a bungee cord keeping it from falling forward. The studio said they had good tripods and when I got there thats the best they had

Wow, if that's their idea of "good", I would hate to see what they consider "not as good" ;-)

The not goods were like Velums or the other really cheap brand with friction heads. I really wished I had taken mine with me because when I had to get the tripod up high pressing the record button would make it sway for a few seconds and I had to make sure no one called action until it settled.
