Keep Vegas Alive - a petition

I though all the different levels of Vegas were alive and fine and was wondering why they brought out the Catalyst Edit product and not just integrate the features into Vegas.
 
Vegas and Catalyst are entirely different platforms, for different purposes, though much of Vegas's functionality is working its way into Catalyst Edit.
 
This could be very good! I remember when Sony bought Vegas from Sonic Foundry back in the day and the software really took off. There was a period of time when Videomaker rated it the number one pro NLE for like three years in a row. Hopefully some new blood will breath life back into it. I'm loving Avid, but I miss Vegas. I just couldn't stand it's outdated interface anymore. If that got brought up to speed, there's a good chance I'd go back :) Me and Vegas were tight. I spent nine years with it and cut three features plus countless shorts.
 
I love vegas. Been using it since 2006. 10 years and 11 feature films later, I still love it. I just hope the german company keeps it alive and well.
