KC Lite 8.0 Jib Good?

Hey all, i'm thinking of getting a jib to up our production value.

I often shoot alone, on occasion with an assistant. I shoot with an FS700, and will most often use the 10-18mm E Mount lens. It's a very light lens, so i should definitely be well under 10lbs. Looking for a jib that's relatively easy to set up and operate. Also affordable.

The KC Lite 8.0 from Kessler Crane looks great to me.

I like that you can tilt the actual camera by tilting your tripod head, not sure how smooth that method works however.
Before pulling the trigger on it, i thought i'd see if anyone has any impressions to share after using that particular jib.
Is it steady? Strong amount of wobble back and forth? I haven't been able to find many reviews on it.

Hoping to keep it around $500 at most, btw.

Thanks

IMHO, the KC Lite is a bit light for real crane work. If you are just seeking a way to remote position your cam, it would be fine, but true crane panning needs a heavier unit. Owning the standard Kessler Crane has taught me one thing, mass is a good thing if you want smooth moves. Also remember that any crane system requires some HD support from both your stix and head. A standard head and stix really just doesn't cut it; think the hercules head with k-pod unless you have a really heavy set already. By the time you do a crane, maybe upgraded stix and head, cables, monitor, remote controls, a $500 budget isn't realistic at all.

It's definitely a wobbler. I used it with a 7d for a while. Fully extended you can't move very fast at all or the camera/counterweights are going to get you a flexing crane and wobbly shots. I do however adore that crane with the short tip. That lets you shoot in super tight areas and get a lot of production value out of it.

I will echo what Grant said about mass. I got an ezfx jib after the Kessler and I love it. It sets up in a couple minutes and can handle anything. I hear the larger Kessler cranes are great too.
