Was wondering if anyone is using the KATA DVG-51 Camera Glove? It looks really good. Anyone using it and have comments?

I got the Kata Rain cover CRC-15 and its clumsy to work with. The KATA DVG-51 looks more user friendly but It looks like it can't resist rain so good thoe.

No, no one has used it yet...I called Kata yesterday...they will start shipping to mfg's by the middle of March supposedly.

I ordered one from B&H today for $150 since the 6 other vendors online had it for $250...I figured even if B&H had it mismarked, they would still be required to send it to me for the price that I paid today.

I'll just have to wait awhile to get it.

I use a heavy garbage bag held together with gaf tape. Seriously- it looks totally third world, but has kept my camera dry in the pacific northwest.

I use a Petrol cover.

Easy to put on and remove. Had to open up some of the stitching at the front to get it to fit over my matte box, but I did that only so the cover would install w/o having to remove the matte box first.

It's waterproof. It protected the camera nicely in a heavy downpour.

The large vinyl window makes it easy to see what I'm doing. However, when the sun comes out it acts like a very efficient green house. Gets hot in there!

The sleeve at the bottom of the cover can be removed if you don't need that much protection. But you can easily put it back in place should you encounter dusty conditions, etc.
