kata crc14 rain cover mike question

does anyone know if the kata crc14 rain cover will accomodate a long shotgun mike (like a senn me 66) mounted on the dvx side mike holder? from the pictures i've seen, it looks like a long shotgun has to be mounted on the camera's hotshoe mount in order for it to fit in the rain cover's mike tube.

hope all is well.
i work for The Camera Company in Norwood Mass....i have a CRC14 and DVX100B in stock....i played with it and although not ideal, if you off center the slicker slightly to the right, it will fit a shotgun on the mic mount.
I tried a PortaBrace as well and that definitely will not work.

I have the CRC14 and I use a Rode NTG-1 on the DVX's mic mount with no problems at all

The mic hood on the CRC14 has an extra internal waterproof sleeve that can extend out the front of the hood to keep long microphones covered too - so you'll be fine rogar-BigGrin(DBG)
