AWWWWWWSOMEE DUDE!!!! ;D CONGRATS with a capital.. well.. wait.. i used all caps didnt I.. DOH!
seriously though thats great news. It is alot of fun though. mine (girl) is going on 2, and already knows counting and alphabet, and every stinking animal on the earth..LOL cutest thing in the world. id love to have aother soon. but my wife wants to wait longer. shes the stay at home mom and has her own massage therapy biz as well. so she gets to decide when is the right time. but anyway good luck.. its really hard to get used to at first.. as in the first year or so..
but ! it is awsome.. im very proud of my daughter, and , and even on the worst days, watching her smile at me and run around saying"daddy daddy.. Bug!! get em! daaddy bug! " will make me smile with a warmth that i had never knwn before. its really a marvelous thing..
now on the filpside when she screams that banshee like wail cause she desperately needs a nap, and doesnt want anyone to stop her from climbing into the oven or something, it sends an unconscious singal through my body to kill all living things on the planet. .. but! whoever said it was easy.. it takes a lot of patience and such, but man o man.. what a payoff. good luck man. i wish you the best!!
Thanks man... i'm pretty pumped! She just got back from the doctor and they said she's 5 & 1/2 weeks along. Should be about ready to pop around March 18th or so
Kai--Congratulations! You're in for the trip of your life--that's for sure--it brings your life to a whole new level. I have a 5 year-old and an 8 year-old and they teach me as much as I teach them. As Neil mentioned, it takes a lot of patience and work, but you get paid back many times over.
Congratulations! It will change your life forever. It will change how you look at things, how your political views are set, how you think of the future. What you thought was important today wont be a year from now as something else will take its place.
Wow. The best thing in the world is seeing your child born, and the first time they say daddy and the first time they smile at you or give you hug on their own will. Awesome!
My son is 4 now and I am a Super Hero. It is cool.
whoohoo! congratulations kai the man! i got a 2, 3 and 9 yr old and lemme tell ya, they take every ounce of patience from ya but bring lotsa of joy into your life. especially the 1sts of everything....walking, saying mommy/daddy etc. so did you and your wife decide to shoot the pregnancy in 60i, 30p, or 24p? congrats again!
haha thanks for all the congrats fellas. I'm in a quandry on the mode to shoot in... i wonder if she'd get offended if I said I'm shooting in SQUEEEEEZE mode?
CONGRATS KAI! I am a daddy of a three year old boy and one on the way (ETA 26th Dec) Kids are the best thing that can happen to you, you will noe demote your camera to second place . . . err . . . third place (Sorry Mrs Kai) ;D. Kids do have a way of making you feel older and more responsable at times (finaly) but will never the less bring out the kid in ya anytime!
