K6+ME66 or MKE600?

The K6 is a modular design, so that may be more versatile in terms of different mic heads (shotgun, cardioid, lavaliere, ect). The newer 600 has a higher sensitivity (21mV), is light weight, but is a fixed design (interference tube), which can be problematic in reflective environments. Pros and cons to both, look to what features are more valuable to you.

So we are being asked to do a mic comparison between a mid level mic from the 1980-1990's and a mid level mic from from this decade, and seeing if it is suitable for a 4k camera (a high level video format that is not widely yet being broadcast)?

As a suggestion is match the level of camera to mic..... you have gone to a top level video format then go for a top level mic.

Had the same dilemma, went with the me66 - still not sure if I made the right choice. MKE 600 sounds duller/a bit more bassy and the me66 sounds brighter. Me66 is also quite sensitive so you don't have to raise the levels on your pre too much.

I'd rather have the Sennheiser mkh 416 over all of them ofc.
