I'm planning to buy a starter HMI kit ( at leat 2 heads ) I'd like to hear some comments about these three brands K5600 800, Arrisun 5 575wtts and Molepar 575 wtts ( my budget is limited to this whattage )

I'll appreciate any comments !:)

The k5600 is an excellent light and will be the lightest and the most expensive. Arri's are very good but they tend to be larger. Although Moles have a very good reputation for their tungsten lights, not so much for hmi's. but I really don't have any 1st hand knowledge about the moles.

I have 2 200w K5600 Jokers in my rental shop, and take them out on all sorts of jobs. They are reliable, punchy, and a well designed piece of kit. I realize these are not the K5600's that you are looking at, but they are indicative of the brand as far as I can tell. If you buy the 400w jokers, you can also obtain an adaptor plate which will let you mount any standard source four lens on it! HANDY!!!!!!!

Cheers

We use 200s and 400s on most shoots - and specify them whenever we're writing the mandate.

They're incredibly reliable, compact, efficient and user-friendly (watch that little pinch point between the yoke and the base).

100% would say K5600 is the logical choice as a compliment to your smaller tungsten package.

I used to own a K-5600 1200 watt HMI PAR. GREAT light and good people to deal with when you need service. I sold it because at the time, I rarely used it but I wish that I hadn't sold it here a few years later.

If it were me, definitely would go for the K-5600 product over Mole or Arri. I own 19 assorted Mole and Arri tungsten instruments but for some reason, I am not crazy about either company's HMIs. K-5600 is great.
