k-tek k-zepp

Hi I am using the k-tek k-zepp for my Sanken CS3e that fits for that mic. I find that the mic is a bit loose in the suspension, if I move the boom a bit quick the mic tends to slowly move forward so the connector at the back of the mic keeps it on the suspension but I am affraid that the mic can be unstable and maybe the rubber band can make some noise with that connector sitting on the suspension.

Any ideas or tips to tighten the rubber bands, or maybe I can buy better ones without buying a new suspension kit that goes with the k-zepp.

or if you want to use something a little bit less messy you can get some of those wide rubber bands like the sort that seem to always come on asparagus at the market.

or do the gaff tape but do it inside out and then cover the outer layer with the sticky side in so you don't get the mount all messy.
