K-SSM - K-SM which for...

I bought the K-SM mount for the Octava and Audio Technica 4073a. I don't
have my shotgun mic in yet, so unsure if I bought the right mount.

Did I buy the right mount or did I need to get the the k-ssm?

I'd go K-SM. It's only very slighly larger (in terms of length) and would give you more flexibility with using other (longer) mics.
Either way would be fine, though...and a K-Tek is great choice!
Lightweight, quiet and nothing to break!
