I have done a search and while some users seem to use it without problem I have also read on other sites that they dont capture certain data in- in particular when shooting with 24p - it strips the flag which states it is progressive as oppose to interlaced or something like that...
I am very interested in getting this - not because ofthe SVHS side as i doubt ill use it - but because i believe the head mechanism will be much better than purchasing another camera for it.
Would also like to know of any alternatives around the same price range - the only one i can think of is the DSR11 which is way out of my budget - i can get this for around 2K...
