Does anybody know more about it? Is there a reason it doesn't exist in a 35mm "academy format"?

I found this review http://www.abelcine.com/articles/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=170&Itemid=45 . Does this kind of set-up make any sense? Instead of buying a 4000-5000 dollar jvc camera like the GY-HD200 and stick a 4000 dollar adapter onto it, you could buy yourself for about the same price a hpx500 that produces about the same DOF with a given lens. Am I missing something?
