Has anyone shot HDV with the JVC HD 100u and brought it into premiere pro 2? is it doable? via firewire? thanks
 
I have and it looks great. However, remember that it is HDV and you need to either have version 1.5.1 which has the Cineform AspectHD coedec included or if you are using PPro2 you can edit HDV natively or purchase AspectHD4.

I use AspectHD in PPro2 with the HD100 and it looks great.
 
I have PP2! Did you import the footage via firewire?

I used firewire and captured using PPro's interface. Keep in mind that I have AspectHD, I don't recomend trying to edit HDV natively in any NLE...
