JVC HD100 Capture issue

Hello all,

So I'm using vegas 5 and trying to capture HD footage from my new HD100.
The computer recognizes the camera via firewire, but Vegas doesn't. What am I doing wrong? Also, te boys at EVS, where I bought the camera, say it doesn't work that way. They say I have to use anintermediate to capture, like Cineform HD Connect. Is that true?

Hmmm. I know it works in Vegas 6, but I don't know about Vegas 5...

I kinda have a similar problem in V6

It recognizes the FX1 i was using...but wen i wanna capture HDV...the comp freezes.

Okay, tomorrow I'll download the trial version of Cinefom and let you know if it works.

Download the free HDVSplit. I don't think this is a Vegas issue; it's likely camera, cable, or hardware setting.
Be sure to use the INTERNAL capture app.
