Originally looking at the Canon ZR-80, I did some research and found the JVC GR-D33 was selected as 2004 best camcorder under $400 by camcorderinfo.com and videomaker magazine. It can be used as a econo-deck or for home recordings. Circuit City is selling them for $288.00. I am picking up one today to use until I can upgrade to a Sony DSR-11.
