I am opening up a thread so we can discuss what JVC will be bringing to the table in the near future. First of competition is good and all Red Fans should welcome competition. JVC is at least trying to compete with Red and JVC is very adamant about one thing. A 4K camera must have the capability of shooting at 60 frames per second in order to attain high definition motion fidelity. Of course the frame rate will always be a creative choice and most Cinematographers will choose either 24 fps or 30 fps but there are 4 Hollywood Directors that will demand nothing less than 4K at 60 frames per second.
Since the Red Epic already exceeds these specification I predict that JVC will try to compete against the Scarlett.
