Just tested the Letus.

You guys are making me jealous. I am saving for an SG Blade but I probably won't be able to get it until at soonest the end of this summer.

^simplicity. there is this saying in engineering design basics, "dont reinvent the wheel if you dont have to." Besides, you gotta give some credit to their flip module.

can't whack on it until you use/own one, my friend.

honestly, the main reason I would choose letus over other is their non-modular design and how compact it is. the overall criteria is top-notch.

Let's hope for you the Gblade is not to the Letus what the F18 is to the F14. Because the last thing you want is a downgrade.

let;s shoot a chart and see how sharp the Letus really is. The SGblade, isn't as sharp as I woud have hoped.

In my experience, the letus extreme is the one in it's pricerange that will cause you the least annoyance. As long as you are clear on the limitations (iris/shutterspeed, and the slightly cumbersome, but quite usable backfocus adjustment)

Everything else about it is great. Very sharp, light-efficient, good flip, ok bokeh, solid, good edge to edge sharpness, little vignetting and CA. Easy to mount and use.

I too had my eyes on the SGBlade, but the footage I have seen have not been very sharp, edge to edge sharpness seems to be less than good, CA is pronounced and high iris/shutter-speed capabilities was not quit what I had hoped for.

The biggest difference in adapters is the quality of the achromat. Other than that, they're all just like Ameri-mexican food: some variation of beans, cheese and a tortilla.
