Hi there,
Tested a new jib on a commercial the other day. Made by Dykortech. It's a smaller, portable version of their Advanta-Jib which I've used on a number of shoots. This smaller jib is going to debut at the Digital Video Expo this coming week in LA, check it out if you can. I forget the lengths (I think 3 feet, 6 feet and 9 feet expandable) and it comes in with hydraulic and cable pan and tilt. Really well built and smooth. And the great thing is the entire unit broke down to one checked-bagage-size bag, under 20 lbs (I think). Perfect for my needs. Looks like they're targeting the DV, Mini HD market. Not sure if he's figured out the asking price yet, but I think it's going to be good.
