Just so you know...

[MDfilms]

I just got a bogen tripod (755b) and gitzo fluid head (2380). I wasn't sure how it will feel but its such a great combo. The best part is that its all under $400. I know people ask what is a good tripod combo and for cheap. I just thought I would give some insight after using it.

How heavy is it? I am looking for one that would be good for travelling. How high does it extend?

Re: Just so you know...

The tripod is 8lbs and it goes 69 inches tall. I think the head is about 5lbs or something.

I have the same setup. I dig it.

I am 6'2" and it with the head and DVX attached is taller than me (if I recall, regardless, it was higher fully extended than I was comfortable shooting with).

Would you need to buy a gitzo quick release plate to go with this combo?
