Ugh, I really don't want to go, I just want to make my parents proud.

I really don't think I'll benefit any thing out of it.

Is there another option, as to NOT go to college, but still get something, kind of like Apprentice ship? Anything at all besides educational schooling? (if that makes sense)

Thanks, and wish me luck...I guess...

The Marines are looking for a few good men.

I'm a senior and do not want to go to college. You could try this if you live near anything like what i'm near. Is take a year off before college and do some film work on the big sets (not indi's) get the resume growing and the more and more experience, and then maybe they will be proud of you for achieving all you've done?

that's what I plan on doing. Then to a 2-year school, then film school.

Congrats...

I hear good things about the Humber program (looked into it myself a few years back).

Those 3 years will fly by...have fun, and learn as much as you can.

Remember, it's not all about your career. College is a time for you to grow as an adult, being still tethered to your parents but much less so then in high school.

Two years in that is the greatest thing I have learned since starting college. It's the life lessons, learning how the world really works.

Yes, that's true and taking a year off isn't always the easiest thing. Sometimes you learn really tough life lessons when it's all done and over with. Go to school, if not only for film but for the experience of growing up.

If you go straight to work, there's not much preparation for how "in your face" life really is. It also sort of keeps you more reliant on your parents, not realizing the repercussions your actions actually have.

Enjoy man,

Kegan

Yeah man, go to college. I am there now and I am loving it.

Think of it like this, college isn't only about learning...you can learn film making on your own, but it is also about the life experience and the networking opportunities. Alumni networks are great.

Best of luck though!
