Just received my PB Pocket Dolly!

Came home and the box was sitting on my doorstep. I don't post often and when I do it is usually something mundane. This time though I felt that I NEEDED to rave about this product. Not just the product, also the detail in the packaging. When I first opened the box and the case that comes with the dolly I was shocked by the quality of the case. I wasn't expecting something that was as well made since it is just a case. The fabric is very durable and the little things like the pocket for the screws in the lid are what really got me. The dolly is shrink wrapped and spacers are in there to keep the carriage from moving, things that only someone that cares about their product would do. Then you get to the product, all I can say is WOW. The fab work and design is second to none. I have spent a bit of time in a metal shop and I still work on designing things to be CNC'ed as a hobby. Knowing about that end of things I am very impressed with the quality of the workmanship. The best part is the whole rig looks like it was designed by someone who actually would use it, not just some guy that likes to design things for others to use. If that is what can be expected from all Kessler products (and I'm sure it is) than I will be back for more. It certainly makes me feel much better about my investment in a piece of gear when I get something as well made as this.

I know this isn't that new of a product, and I'm not at all a well known user/blogger/filmmaker, but I just couldn't help to rave about this.

The Kessler products are great! I personally own a Hercules 2.0 head and like it alot.

Have you ever by chance played with one of the Cinevate Atlas 10 sliders to compare? If so what were your thoughts, Im bouncing back and forth between the two.

I used a PB Pocket Dolly a month ago on a shoot and I have to say, it worked great. Used it on a Hercules 2.0 head. I've been a Kessler fan for awhile and have their crane and dolly system as well. Don't use the flex dolly as much because like all flex dollies, it does take a bit of work to me to get the flex tubing setup right, but the crane has been used OFTEN. It's wonderful.

Really want to invest in more of their gear.

As someone who used to own a machine shop, built custom yacht hardware, and still does metals design part time, I have always been impressed with Kessler construction and design. Clever fellows they are that put a lot of quality into their products. When I first began buying that type of equipment, I thought they were a bit expensive, and after seeing some of their gear I changed my mind to; not cheap but great value.

Enjoy your slider!
