Just picked up my DVX100A!

Greetings All!

Thanks for all the great posts on this forum. After much time & research, I recently purchased a DVX100A ;D. I took it to Savannah, GA. for a few days for a test run. This is my first 3 chip... larger & heavier than my "old" Sony. My hand/arm got tired from handholding but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

The only problem I had was with my poor standin for a case... an old soft briefcase thingy with bubblewrap lining. Several times I switched the gain without realizing it as I inserted/removed the camcorder from the bag.

Now I need to pick up some accessories (a case & a good tripod would be nice for starters). I see a good number of posts on the subject.

Until he blew it and the Pointer Sisters got his record deal (or did I just *really* date myself there . . . ? :-[)

Hilarious! Isaac was coooool. Especially when he did that "double finger pointing thing" in the opening sequence! I never cared much for Stubings daughter though (nasty thang)

What was it Scott Billups said about gain in his book?
