welcome back yeah i too can hear that song,Terry, ooooh mr. kotta. Yeah Luis it got pretty boring with some of this schoolboy crap, then some of the old timers got back, and into the groove baby. now it's just groovey, Lasater been keeping up on the entertainment,Hudson mellowed out a bit, then came back to his ol self again(and that's how we like him), Callaghan bailed out for a while then got back to his classic of all times list,Briceman finally got a job(he's on once in a while),Horse is up to two bottles a day(once he heard that pickling yourself with low grade burbon would add years to your life, and last but not least it's the reaper himself it may be bad luck mentioning his name (since the subject is old age) R-A-V-I-N-E-S-E-D-G-E......WELL WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THIS GUY!
I thought my great uncle lived to be 100 but my mom said 93... yeah, the point about recording these people is CRUCIAL... Imagine how cool it would be if you found a recording of near-perfect quality from 100 years ago? What would life have been like just past the turn of the century... what did people think? Did they see WW1 coming? What about the great depression? Wouldn't that be a great recording to have... especially if it was the voice of a direct relative? Well that's the opportunity you're blowing if you don't record some stuff from your relatives who made it to such a ripe old age!
Don't blow the opportunity! You're family will be glad you made the effort! I used to bug my girlfriend to record her mom all the time... she always blew it off... her mom had a stroke 1.5 years ago and has been very hard to understand ever since! The only reason I didn't FORCE this on them is because everybody thought it was kinda' stupid at the time... needless to say the complete extended family would love to be able to hear her voice now! Make plans and do it!
