Just imagine the optics

Slightly off the subject....BUT......

I was watching Discovery News yesterday and they (NASA) were talking about some testing they had been doing for the upcoming Shuttle Lauch. They were using high speed digital cameras to record debris hitting the mockup wings of a shuttle to test durability. Anyways.....the cameras they were using were stated to be CMOS and capable of 2,000 - 2,000,000 (YES 2Million) Frames per second. I was astounded!! WOW that's fast. Not that anyone really cares....I just thought it was cool how far digital cameras have come and how far they are going to go in the next 5-10 years.

Remember hearing about those "water-based lenses" Apparently they aren't up to HD snuff.
Good for embedded applications, though.
