Just got picked up as "Stunt Coordinator"!

Sweet! Just got a paid gig as the stunt coordinator on a SAG production. Picked up the script and contracts. It's nothing too advanced, just some shooting scenes, a stabbing, and some bar fights. As part of my duties, I will be handling/wrangling all the weapons on the film, as well as training the cast.

Got a small supporting role on it, as well. So I won all around. I went there to just audition for the part, and the Exec. Producer said I looked like a "stunt guy", I told her "well that fits, because I am one."

"Hmm, we are still looking for a coordinator, can you handle the job and would you be interested?"
"Here's what I have done as a coordinator" (gave her the links to different projects)
"The rate will be ### a day and I know that is less than what you normally get."
"Hmm, I'll tell you what, the role I just auditioned for, since it is just a small 1 page part, give me that role, and I will accept. I am trying to develop my acting reel."
"Well, I don't know, I have to talk that over with everyone else" Oops, figured I lost both jobs.

But got home, and had an offer in my email, agreeing to my terms, as both paid talent and paid crew.

Going to be blocking the stunts, starting tonight. Sweet!

Show some BTS shots if you can Doc. The gunshots will be particularly interesting. What kinds of props will you be using?

Way to go!!

For the most part: airsofts. But if the budget allows, we will be bringing in ISS for a blank firing AK47.

That scene will require some interesting angles, as a room of people are going to be gunned down. I have a buddy with a really nice air "squib" system that can handle up to 10 simulataneous hits.

Will do on the BTS shots.
