just got my new Jib!!!

So a HUGE package was sitting at my doorstep yesterday....always exciting!! Anyway, It was my 8ft. Kessler Camera Jib. After much research I decided to go with the kessler and so far havn't been disapointed. it is very sturdy, smooth and easy to use. Now for 400 dollars it is not going to produce jimmy jib like shots. but for anyone looking to invest in a camera jib I suggest the Kessler. the nice thing is that the whole system is intermodel, meaning I can turn an 8ft jib to a 12ft or a 5.5ft. jib at very little cost. not to metion Eric Kessler is also top notch and a pleasure to do business with

I bought one of these a month ago. The best purchase I have made since the DVX. I can't recomend it enough. Oh and have no worries about using it with a 503 head, it works fantastic, I have had nothing but a great experience with my set up.

Buy one now!

Does this Jib have controls to point the camera down when its up high?
Its not 100% clear on the site. I see you can do a dutch roll but I dont see anything else.

If you fellas get a chance...post some footage of this bad boy in action. I'd love to check this thing out.

Always nice to see what something is capable of.

the camera can tilt independlty while on the jib as well as self leveling shots. it does take some practice to get the tilt action down though. as far as videos, I really don't have any direct way of posting footage but I know that www.kesslercrane.com has some footage, doesn't really do the jib justice imo

www.stickypod.com offers free hosting to DVXusers. Just a little FYI for future reference. I'm not telling you so that you'll run out, shoot something, and post it. Just thought you would like to know that it's there if you need it.
