Just got my LetusFE

Hey Barry,

Do you mind showing a screen grab of what your Letus can do? I agree with cinebuddy in that my Letus makes my footage look softer all around, but I kind of figured that's how all adapters will look since you're going through so much glass. And for anyone who asks... YES, I am focusing correctly on the ground glass.

Also, could anyone show a screen grab of their letus if they had specks of dust on their mirrors? I thought I did, but Quyen told me nothing was there. You can also PM me to email them to me directly.

I had a speck on my gg at one point but I just opened it and blew it out. Specks on the mirrors can usually be blown out with compressed air. Both ends can open so it shouldn't be too hard to clean out.

I’m sure many Letus owners have solved the issue of no coverings coming with the unit, but if you have not as of yet, a quite helpful guy in B&H’s photo department spent 20 minutes with me trying out a variety of body caps, threaded solutions, etc.

What seems to work quite well and what I went with were two generic push on lens caps, one 55mm and 72mm –go with a more snug fit as they will only develop more play with time.

thanks for sharing, this is something i've been wanting to figure out for a while. these will sure beat that ziplock bag that i've been using to keep the adapter protected....

Maybe the package is not the best, and as described in their site you will have to clean the unit with a air pressure spray, but the AMAZING quality of the Letus35FE make me forget all the rest. I don't shot without it.

Tomorrow my HVX200 comes, and btw i tried it on a DVX100, CLICK HERE to view a sample. The image quality, the sharpness and the look are very near to 35mm
