it arrived today!

http://www.cluelessandlark.org/images/thetwins3.jpg

this was the simplest install ever, just slid on the rods and matted with the gear on the lens.

i can't wait to have something to shoot where i can use it

i ordered some 1/2" paper tape from filmtools.com i guess its just like gaffers tape but easier to write on.

now i just have to figure out how to hook a very sensitive stepping motor to the center of the focus ring to adjust it remotely.

i keep thinking that the remote control airplanes and helicopters have very sensitive servo's and that one of those might do nicely.

Re: Just got my Chrosziel Follow Focus...

i actually got it from a guy on ebay and i got a GREAT price! $1,000!

it was auction # 3870724285

he seems to get them directly from germany.

not trying to undercut rush, this guys prices are like below wholesale and he's legit as far as my experience!

its not as smooth on the camera as off...

i feel like i still need to get the gear to fit better on the camera (the big one that goes around the built in focus ring.

i went with the chrosziel gear for that thinking it was better to stay all chrosziel even though i LOVE the century optics stuff, i mean if you haven't checked it out their anamorphic correcting eye piece is hot stuff!

now i really want a whip to adjust the focus from a small distance, or the snazzy lever.

i just sent an email to rush @ evs to see what his price is on it.

Hey Matthew, what do you have attached to the viewfinder on the first camera there? (The closest one in the picture) Also, where did you get your chamois?
