i just got my dvx book and magic bullit software and it looks really nice. my only problem is after i instal magic bullit, final cut stops working. everytime i try to open it it says the application final cut pro quit unexpectedly. i have reinstalled FCP and magic bullit 3 times and the only way final cut starts working agian is when magic bullit is uninstalled. anyone know whats up?

Hmmm... is it giving you an error and number? or is it just quitting?

Post this in the "Final Cut Pro" section of the forums, or if a MOD is reading this, please move this thread so Adam can get more answers.

Same thing Happens on Premiere Pro 2

Same thing Happens on Premiere Pro 2

The exact Same thing Happens on Premiere Pro 2, premire pro already comes with it, however

Same problem here. FCP quits on startup....last thing displayed is always "Loading AE Effects... Deartifacter.bundle" or "Looksuite.bundle".

I have to say, I've been throroughly unimpressed with Red Giant as of late. Their support is really poor, and I've had problems with almost every install of their software, regardless of which version it is and which version of FCP I'm running.

I saw in the Colorista thread that several people, all with Intel Macs, are having the same problem with the Red Giant software causing FCP to crash at the splash screen. Does anyone have a fix for this? Are these bugs because of incompatibility with FCP 5.1.2 or with the Intel Macs on the whole?

Sure would be nice if someone from Red Giant would respond. I've given up trying to get any help from their "support" site or waiting for them to return my e-mails and phone messages.

You need to trash your preferences. It should work then. Download FCP Rescue 5 and after you get FCP back up and setup the way you want with your favorites, etc., run FCP Rescue 5 so you won't have to do it again if you are forced to trash your preferences.

Hey Blaine-

Yeah, I tried that right after I read your post in the Colorista thread, but no dice. Deartifacter.bundle or Looksuite.bundle crashes it EVERY time. I've installed and uninstalled the thing at least 20 times now.

Thanks though.

Damn, that did it for me when FCP was crashing at the splash screen. Perhaps BenB will weigh in soon.

To all--

That week off is punishing me:( We took a posted week off for the holidays and I am digging out of the hole now-- we should be well caught up as I am obviously again scouring the forums trying to track you all down.

Alright guys, to answer your question about the install on the IMAC, IMAC's have a built in video card that does not support our software, thus the crashing that is occurring. If you bought this in err let me know and I will set up a refund.

Here is my direct email: john[at]redgiantsoftware.com you can email directly-- if you want my number please just drop me you email and I can either call you or you can call me and I will work through any issues you are having.

Furthermore-- if I cannot get it to work, I will get you your money back, promise.

As well, there is an Intel MAC update-- free for all owners of v2/paid upgrade for v1 -- not for IMAC/MAC mini/Mac Book non-pro models-- http://www.redgiantsoftware.com/mbeditorsdemo.html

Download the demo and use your v2 SN.

Here's a deal, for anyone in this thread, email with your thread name and I will get you set up with something special**must have been in this tread before I posted** one time deal once per name.

Ouch...

I aim for my staff to turn around 99% of all emails and phone in a 24 hour period, please let me know the method in which you tried to contact us, so I may figure out why this happened, fix it and improve for the future.

I take all input seriously, good or bad.

Thanks.
