Just checking in

Im up here in San Fran for about 6 days on my wifes family reunion (great people) and having a blast. What a wonderful city; doing the usual tourist thing; Alcatraz, Golden Gate walk, Nob Hill, Chinatown and Fishermans Wharf.

A small crew was shooting a movie down at the wharf with the DVX's Big $65,000 brother. 24p in all its glory with about $20,000 in accesories; I struck up a conversation with the DP and told him I had the little DVX100 which he seemed stoked on (their package was a rental).

Ny 4 year old is having a blast. One thing; I have never walked more in my life than I have in this city; uphill, downhill, across the Golden Gate. My legs are crying for momma. Its okay, the nightly beer and wine is numbing the pain.

Anyway, Hi everyone! Cant wait to get back to San Diego and to shoot something.

San Francisco, what a great city. And the food, amazing--just thinking of SF makes me hungry. There's those miraculous oyster bars with a dozen varieties of oysters---plump Kumomotos--yum. John, if you get a chance head over to Japantown--lots of cool shops and the best sushi.

Re: Just checking in

Hey John -- Sorry I missed you. Few weeks ago my Mom walked me ALL over that city. Great place to walk. Never really know how far you have to go, so you just... go! Not like NYC where you are reminded each block of how much farther you've got to go.

Heading to LA tomorrow.

Watch out for Bush-man!!!

when your at the wharf.. look for the bushman!

Re: Just checking in

If you make it all the way to Japantown, just continue on a few more blocks to Alamo Park and see the painted ladies. Great view!

Re: Just checking in

That is SO funny that bushman is an 'international playa'! HA! Living only 45 min's I hardly ever visit the city, but when I do, bushman is always a must-see.

Chico ;D
