Just Beautiful

This probably belongs in the directing section but provides a great insight into character development for Hayao Miyazaki films which apply to live action as well. Some things he does is unorthodox but he is able to create great stories using this style of filmmaking.

Huge fan, Spirited Away in particular is a master work, one of my all time favorite films of any genre but all of his films are pretty much genius. He is one of a kind.

Miyazaki is my favorite director ever, and Princess Mononoke is my favorite of his, and my second favorite movie ever.

I recall rumors of him doing a sequel to Porco Rosso; I think it was listed on IMDB for awhile. I guess he's officially retired now, though.

Apparently some of his short films can only be seen at a museum in Japan.

I'd like to see more from his son Goro Miyazaki. From Up on Poppy Hill was good, but he hasn't done another movie since then.

The soundtracks from Studio Ghibli movies are awesome as well.
