Just a little quick advice needed on workflow - basic SD, nothing fancy...

Quick advice needed on a simple issue before starting a project - One client; result will be 18 individual 3-minute clips each on a different subject. Each 3-minute clip will be edited from a ripped DVD, let's say about one hour of SD footage per DVD. I would prefer to open this as ONE premiere pro (CS3) project with the name of the CLIENT, and then cut each clip as a sequence, and create sub-folders to store footage pertaining to each clip. It seems "simpler" that way, organization-wise. Then put consistent titles, etc on each one. And they're sort of all together.

Seems the downside to this, as opposed to opening EACH clip as one individual project, is: vulnerability of that one project (have to save often, back up, etc)... and mostly the drive space. For example, if I have 10 of the 18 finished, I still will have all the RAW footage (possibly 60 minutes minus 3 minutes of what I use= 57 minutes of unused footage, times 10 finished clips = 570 minutes of footage = potentially around 115 G of space on the drive being taken up for no particular reason; and that number will grow until all 18 clips are finished). And can't really delete or trim or archive the "done" parts of the project until the WHOLE project (all 18) is done.

I'm not hurting too bad for drive space, but then again, I hate to use so much unless the pay off is worth it.

Can anyone think of any more pros and cons to doing it as one project vs. 18 separate projects?

Thanks for the advice.
Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Ok, maybe this one was too confusing to answer. Sorry if so. Anyway, don't bother now...looks like the answer is made. Client changed the scope a little so that each DVD of material that I'm editing from will produce a potential for many small clips rather than one, so I will open a new project for each DVD.
It's all good.
Cheers everyone.
