Why is there a forum on this site for the enemy? Well not really an enemy but you know what I mean. I thought it was all about the DVX100, 100A here.

I think there were so many posts starting to scatter across all of the other threads that Jarred wanted to isolate it. When it cools off (and XL2User.com goes live possibly) it'll get dumped I'll bet. (That's just an assumption on Jarreds thinking, I thought it was a good idea since DVX users will definitely want to discuss it but I agree that it should be killed off ultimately. I expect that it will when the smoke clears)

We talk about all sorts of hardware that is not a DVX... we talk about lights, we talk about mic's, so now we're talking about another potential tool in the arsenal. And one that's sparked an awful lot of interest.
If XL2User.com takes off, I would expect that the XL2 topic here would die down some, except for the occasional "why should I buy this instead of that" post.
But I certainly wouldn't call it "the enemy"... brand bigotry leads to flame wars like the insipid mac vs. pc debate...
We talk about all sorts of hardware that is not a DVX... we talk about lights, we talk about mic's, so now we're talking about another potential tool in the arsenal. And one that's sparked an awful lot of interest.

yes.. its not like we can just sit here and ignore it.. I could ban the word XL2 if i wanted too. I think once it is actually alive and kicking we will see where we go with it.
