I wasn't sure if this was the right place to post this but thought I'd give it a shot.
I'm using Vegas 6 and Canopus ADVC110 as my D/A converter to my preview monitor. I've used this setup in the past with no problem, however now whenever the Canopus is doing heavy rendering to the monitor it starts to drop frames. As you can understand this is extremely annoying. It runs smoothly in the Vegas Preview window but not when I use the external monitor.
In the past I've seen it slow a little during transitions, usually when vegas is recompressing the frame, but the picture it literally dropping completely.
I'm not really sure what the problem is. Wasn't sure if there was a Vegas setting I could change to make it easier on the Canopus or what the deal is.
Don't know how many specs you need but here ya go.
1.8 C2D, 1G PC5300, IEEE 1394 card, Audigy 4 sound card. 1TB Raid w/ PCI Raid controller. Let me know if you need anything else.
