Jumper

Meh.

It looks like one of those films where they're like "Hey, remember when you were 10 and wished you could teleport everywhere?! This movie shows how neat it would be!"

Except it'll turn into an hour and a half waste of celluloid that's only good for special fx flagellation.

As an aside, I must confess I know nothing of the book and have only seen this trailer, other than that, I know nothing about the film. So I suppose I'm being a bit unjust, but it really looks just as bad as most of the stuff coming out of the woodwork these days.

Sorry for being so cynical.

I reckon Hayden Christensen's cool. Anyways, so the trailer and thought it looked like sliders on a budget. Actually the special effects looked kinda cheap to me.

Haha. I actually enjoyed it pretty much.

I knew exactly what it was gonna be - enjoyable popcorn nonsense - and that's exactly what I got.

It's good to know what is what.

Watch-and-forget.

Bflup.

Lol.

I like Doug Liman. For a guy who got absolutely no credit for his best movie (Swingers), I've been impressed by his career. I thought I'd hate Mr. and Mrs. Smith - but I actually kind of enjoyed it in a stupid silly way.

This movie, however, is exactly like Bryant said. It seems to be geared towards a very young audience. The biggest problem is technical though and it's a pervasive problem in movies today. We're told so much to "tighten tighten tighten" our editing, that it gets to a point where everything's going by so fast you don't have time to get into it. From the story to the scenes themselves. Scenes that should have been 3 minutes and had a lot of pauses, zoom by at 2 minutes to make the movie have a tight running time. Sometimes those silences are what make a film - even popcorn movies. Very disappointed with this.
