I'm trying to figure something out, could use some help.
So say I have a program that runs 1 hour and it is the master edit. I want to leave that entire program and one whole track. There's an alternate ending to the program. Everything is the same except the last 5 minutes. How would I play the program so that at 55min it jumps to the alternate ending? I would make this an option in a menu to select which version you want to watch, the normal program or the alternate program which jumps to the second ending at 55min.
Thinking logically, one would duplicate the master track and set end point of the duplicate to 55min and then jump it to the new ending. However, when I duplicate the track, it phsically duplicates the media in my project. I don't have space for two separate tracks.
I there another way of duplicating tracks? Almost like having reference tracks. Any help would be great.
