Jpg : progressive or baseline ?

Photoshop gives us the choice of saving in three diferent formats our jpg image: Baseline Standard, Baseline optimized, or progressive. My question is : the picture my digital camera captures when in jpg mode (I have EOS10D) is Baseline standard, baseline optimized, or progresiive and if progressive how many scans ?
For archive I want to save my jpg image as close to the original as posible.

Thanks
Andreas

Baseline is all you need, set to it's highest quality. Or, save as a .psd, .tga, .tif, and you save uncompressed. No loss of quality, but larger file sizes.

Progressive is for web use, where the jpeg is downloaded with multiple passes. If you have seen in some sites where the images are shown but not on full quality and then after all the passes have rendered you view the final image. This is to ensure faster appear & download times.
