John Spencer dead at 58

its ironic that he died of a heart attack cause his character in West Wing had a heart attack in the show... i'm shocked... sad news indeed
 
Sucks. I'm a massive west wing fan - He was great! He rocked LA Law too.

Don't forget his part in "The Rock"

Will be missed...
 
A little bit more talent just got sucked out of Hollywood. He seemed like one of those guys it would have been great to have dinner with. You can't say that about a lot of actors these days ...
 
why wasnt he in it much more anyway? if santos wins (which i think he will) and nbc renews west wing he would be VP for that season too...
 
Odds of another season are slim to nil - ratings are in the tank this year. Even talk of not finishing this season

i knew the ratings weren't good but i think its cause it moved to sundays. i think they'll finish this season though and i hope they do at least one more. i'm going back and watching the seasons i have on dvd of west wing in honor of john spencer.

its going to be weird without him and its going to be weird watchin it knowing that he just died.

For sure. Be hard not to think about it.

He is a powerful presence. especially previous seasons.
