John Jackman Lighting Classes at your room!

I watched those about a week ago right after I ordered Jackmans book. Most of the information is in the book. Kind of makes me wish I would have waited but the book is a handy reference. Very good lighting seminar. I would have posted the link but I wasn't sure about pimping a competing site. I think Jackman is good in these two videos and I did make a post about dvx user podcasts. I do have a couple of questions concerning the color range of the dvx. If we can't get true black or white, why should we be crushing the blacks in camera? Seems counterproductive. I have a lot to learn personally I love crushed blacks and high contrast.

Slimothy's a good student ;-)

It's interesting though. I was actually thinking about taking some myself, but I kinda figured I'd get more out of it if I just payed close attention and watched the whole thing through. I'll be able to tell you after the next movie I guess :)
Peace,

I read his book about 4 months ago and most of the information he gave is in the book, but watching is much better than reading in this case.

(I thought that only when you´re a child you´re scared to be chosen as a volunteer in a class. People don´t change too much as they get older. It´s such a relief to me...)

Wow! The first half was a great review. Have to go watch the second half. Thanks for posting this. I was supposed to go to this Expo, but work got busy and I couldn't.

True story--

Two weeks ago I rewrote the syllabus & picked the books for one of my old professor's Video Production II class for the local university. Instead of stinking up the place with (expensive) books that the students would never use once the class was complete, I simply had them buy Jackman's book & one of Jay Rose's audio books.

It will be the best $60 worth of books that they'll ever spend. It makes me feel good to pick out things that students will want to keep, instead of selling back at the end of the semester.

Damn! This is was a good link, gumonstro! Thanks for letting us know! Going to learn now! I already have Jack's book and I love it.

Looks like I'm 3 years too late... does anyone know where to currently find these videos as the original link is dead...

I've got his book, I was hoping to get my hands on the videos for employees/volunteers that are less inclined to read...
