Joel Silver and Warner Bros parting ways after 25 years

Yeah, this is old news. Nikki Finke wrote about it back in April.
Joel has made a deal to take over the old Venice, CA post office and turn it into his production office. It's an architectual treasure, and he loves that.
Coolest thing about his old offices at WB was that one of the offices in the bungalow used to be the office of Alan Hale Sr. (drinking buddy of Errol Flynn, Litte John in Adventures of Robin Hood, and father of The Skipper from Gillian's Island.) That office had all the windows lowered by a foot (and they still are), so that Alan Hale could sneak out the window when he was drunk if he heard Jack Warner coming in the front door of the building.
