Joe Cocker...

RIP Mr. Cocker...Left behind some timeless music. He's my personal favourite to perform Karaoke with.

Oh, that's sad, I hadn't heard he had lung cancer. Goddam tobacco takes another...

Strange timing for me too, Emanuel, as I had just re-watched, on a fluke out of nowhere, Mad Dogs & Englishmen a week ago (great classic rock doc of his and Leon Russell's 30 piece band/roadshow/carnival/traveling party).

Cocker was probably the best re-interpreter/cover artist in rock and roll, and possibly the best rock/soul singer ever.

His gritty voice will be missed, but also he's the all-time best air guitar player and his spasmodic singing style will never be equaled :)

Here's to ya, Joe. Yes, I get by with a little help from my friends, and though I'm feelin' alright, I'm a little sadder at your passing...

First Jack Bruce, now Joe Cocker... I need to dive into my vinyl and save some classic sounds...

And of course, the BEST mis-heard lyrics ever!
