jitter in 24p images

I shot a feature with the Panasonic AG-DVX100A using the 24p mode (not 24p advanced)and edited it on Final Cut Pro. Now, whenever I try to burn a DVD or output to tape, the image has an annoying jitter/flicker effect that was not present in the source material. Anyone have ideas on what the best way is to bring my movie into DVD Studio Pro and output a version that looks correct?

I assume you edited at 29.97, set lower field first and are viewing on an actual video monitor ?(not computer monitor)

I actually edited at 23.98. Perhaps that's where my problem lies, as I have since learned that when shooting 24p footage shot this way 29.97 is the way to go...is there any way to get around the fact that I edited at 23.98?

You can create a new sequence that's 29.97 and then copy/drag the footage from your 23.98 edited timeline sequence.

When I created the new sequence and copied my footage into it, for some reason there were blank spaces created between shots at several points. When I closed these gaps, the film was several minutes shorter and the soundtrack was out of sync. Any idea what could be causing this?
