Jim Arthurs Inspired 3d tracking clip

After watching some test that Jim had done a while back with the HVX200 clips, I was fascinated by it and wanted to be able to do something similar.

So here is my first efforts, indeed they are no way near as good as Jim's.

My humble efforts:

P.S those four whites bits of paper around the flags was used as markers for tracking, I realise now that they could have been much, much smaller, also I don't know how to erase them in post, I used 'ol Vegas for Comping

That looks great! Now I've got something else to learn... (I can't thank you enough for cc cleaner) When I watched the clip I thought just PART of it was tracking... my first thought was "so he stopped the flag right at the end?" :grin:

Man if you guy have stuff like this integrated into a sci-fi flick then I'm trembling. I gotta' take a freakin' class and get up to speed on stuff this cool.

Cheers MattinSTL, I've just started to learn this tracking thing, that was my first track (well one that worked !)

Now I need to learn how to use a proper compositing software, because using Vegas to composite is just being desperate

For tracking stuff you gotta watch Jim A's stuff the mans a pro
